Overview
The CH27 Absorbent Pad is an essential component for the terminal end of a Lateral Flow Assay (LFA). Its primary function is to act as a “wick,” drawing the sample and reagents across the nitrocellulose membrane and holding them securely to prevent “flood-back” or false readings.
Manufactured with high-purity cellulose, the CH27 ensures a uniform capillary pull, making it ideal for diagnostic kits requiring high sensitivity and reliability.
Key Features
-
Superior Wicking Power: High capillary action ensures a steady flow from the sample pad to the waste end, maintaining the kinetic flow required for accurate T and C line development.
-
High Volume Retention: The CH27 is engineered to hold a significant volume of fluid relative to its size, allowing for larger sample volumes without leakage.
-
Consistency Across Batches: Uniform thickness and density ensure that every test strip produced performs identically.
-
Pure Cellulose Composition: Minimized risk of interference with reagents or non-specific binding, ensuring clean test results.
| Feature | Detail |
| Material | 100% High-Purity Cellulose |
| Grade | CH27 (Wicking/Absorbent Grade) |
| Application | LFA Wicking Pad / Sink |
| Compatibility | All standard LFA Backing Cards (including SMA31-40) |
| Water Absorption | High / Rapid |
Assembly Instructions
For best results, the CH27 Absorbent Pad should overlap the nitrocellulose membrane by 1mm to 2mm. This ensures a continuous fluidic path. When used in conjunction with the SMA31-40 Backing Card, the CH27 adheres firmly to the pressure-sensitive adhesive for a secure, permanent bond.
